Public Group active 2 weeks, 4 days agoTourettes syndrome is an inherited neuro-psychiatric disorder that causes involuntary, sudden, repetitive, nonrhythmic movements of the body called tics. It is like a sneeze or an urge to scratch an itch. These tics can either be motor or vocal.

Tourettes Syndrome 6 months agoHey guys. I’m new to this group and I was wondering if you had any advice about coprolalia, also known as the swearing tic. I’ve had this since Tuesday and I’m staying on top of school work for the moment, but I’m worried about having to miss class and get behind on schoolwork. Any tips?

My response sometimes is “Just because I have TS doesn’t mean I can’t drive. When I am consintrated enough on something my tics don’t occur as often.”

I could not tell you but I would suggest talking with someone in TSA (Tourette Syndrome Association) Southern California Chapter about this. They have a lot of information and my guess would be more than willing to help you.
